Additional website remediation, bespoke development, logo redesign, rebranding and advanced PWA functionality are quoted separately. 01 What is a branded web app?
A branded web app lets customers add your website to their phone’s home screen using your business name and logo. They can then open it with a single tap, with an app-like display on supported devices. It remains your existing website rather than a separately developed mobile application.
02 Is this the same as a native Android or iPhone app?
No. This service uses Progressive Web App (PWA) technology to provide an app-like experience through your existing website. It does not create a native Android or iOS application, and publication through Google Play or Apple’s App Store is not included.
03 Does it work on both Android and iPhone?
Yes, on supported devices and browsers. We’ve successfully installed and tested ChatBizSol’s own branded web app on Android and iPhone, including its home-screen icon and standalone display. Installation steps and available features can vary by device, browser and operating-system version.
04 Do customers need to download it from an app store?
No. Customers visit your website using a supported browser and follow the appropriate steps to add it to their home screen. We provide standard installation instructions with Essential, while Plus includes additional branded guidance and a QR code.
05 Will my existing website and its features still work?
The branded web app uses your existing website, so compatible pages and features remain available. We assess your website before implementation and test the installation experience. Some functions may behave differently in standalone mode, particularly where third-party integrations or browser restrictions are involved.
06 What happens when my website or branding changes?
Website content updates normally remain available through the branded web app because it uses your existing website. Changes to the app name, icon or installation configuration may require additional work, and installed devices may not display branding changes immediately.
07 What's the difference between Essential and Plus?
Web App Essential (£99) includes compatibility assessment, branded icons, web app configuration, installation testing and standard instructions. Web App Plus (£179) includes everything in Essential, plus a branded installation guidance page, custom QR code, illustrated instructions, additional launch checks and enhanced handover. Both are one-time setup packages for one compatible website on one domain.
08 Are there ongoing fees, and will ChatBizSol install it for every customer?
Our standard packages have a one-time setup fee, with no separate recurring ChatBizSol web app subscription included. Your website still requires its usual hosting, domain and maintenance arrangements. Customers add the web app to their own supported devices using the instructions provided; individual customer installations are not included in the setup service.
